Bristol Stool Scale


Bristol Stool Chart is a good communication tool. It will help both you and the doctor to understand your bowel habits. The following factors should be recorded for every bowel  movements in a day.
  1. Type of stool as per Bristol Stool Chart (Number 1 to 7, or mixed for example 5 and 7 OR 2 and 5)
  2. Timing of Bowel Movement (7.30 am, 6pm, etc)
  3. How long did it take for you to pass the stool (5 minute, 10 Minute, 30 Minute)
  4. The quantity of stool passed (Small, Medium, Large)
